Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
What is Wiccan?
Wiccan is a neo-pagan belief system or religion that is nature-based. It was founded in the mid-20th century. Believers of Wiccan are also known as witches and wizards. They hold the Earth as the Mother and the Sky as the Father. Most believers form small groups or covens, with each coven being mixed-genders and having their own deities at the center. There is no such thing as Satan or Devil in this religion. Many from this neo-pagan religious system are believed to practice magic wherein they draw inspiration from the Universal energy.
They practice chanting, hypnosis, dancing, and visualization to take strength from the psychic energy that helps them heal and protect coven members. Most of them believe in re-birth. Wiccan came to the US in 1962 when it was propounded by the students of Gerald B. Gardner, who was responsible for popularizing the movement in the UK in 1961.
Is there a dating site for Wiccans?
There are several dating sites for Wiccans. Some of the most trusted and reputed ones are:
- Dating Wiccans
- Wicca Dating
- Date a Wiccan
- Wiccan Personals
- Wiccan Dating Site
- Witch Dating
- eHarmony
Since the believers of Wicca are limited in numbers and are strongly bonded, it is natural that they would want to date people from the same community with similar faiths and beliefs. Using generic dating sites to find like-minded people can be a tough challenge. Using the sites mentioned above helps believers start their search on the right footing.
What is it to date a Wiccan?
Dating a witch or a wizard as a Muggle can be a unique experience. This is a journey that can be an exciting adventure at one time or have you on your tenterhooks at other times. You may fail to understand many things, with most things appearing to be illogical or mystical. There are bound to be differences in opinions and interests. For example, wizards and witches have their own culture, sports, and music.
It may all seem to be fun at one time, while at other times, you could be the target of prejudices, especially from the wizard’s or witches’ family members and friends. You may be ignored at family get-togethers as most Wiccans prefer pure-blood to Muggle for their sons and daughters.
On the other end, your partner may have very little understanding of modern-day technologies like social media, etc. They have their own unconventional ways of communication, for example, using owls or simply flying around on their broomsticks, disappearing into thin air with a swipe of the wand, etc.
But both of you can work on certain aspects to make the relationship work. Most wizards and witches are progressive-minded, and they believe in the magic of love. Be open, embrace each other’s cultures, thought processes, and differences, and you can create your heaven on Earth.
